Ski Paradiski - La Plagne, Les Arcs, Champagny en Vanoise

Brief Resort Overview: Paradiski combines the ski resorts of la Plagne and les Arcs into one giant resort. The different lodging base areas are situated at an altitude of 1300m to 2100m approximately 90 miles South East of Geneva (2hrs 20 minutes by car). Les Arcs is famous for the speed skiing event or 'kilometre lancé' held during the Olympics. The two resorts are linked by a state-of-the-art tramway called the Vanoise Express which crosses the ValLandry Gorge in 4 minutes. Prior to the construction of the Vanoise Express you had to take a bus or taxi for at least 30 minutes to get from one to the other. Les Arcs and La Plagne both offer some amazing lift accessed back-country terrain. Often you can ski from the lift into the back-country but you need to take a shuttle to get back to the lift network.
La Plagne hosted the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games bobsled activity. Today visitors to the resort can go down the same track which makes for a thrilling evening activity.

Principal advantages of the resort: Modern lift network. Extensive back-country skiing. Some high altitude glaciated terrain offers snow security during periods of poor conditions. Availability of affordable ski-in/ski-out three-star hotel lodging and apartments.
